Class and Course Information
Please come to Class with:
comfortable workout wear
a Pareo (sarong or approx. 3 yards of cloth for your hips
a good, adventurous dance attitude!
Think you can't dance? Try this class 3 times in a row (the first one is free for new students!) and we'll banish that thought from your world together! This is a beautiful art form, and you will definitely have FUN learning it with us!
Tahitian Drumming! Come learn how it's done!
Tahitian drumming class starts on Tuesday, May 20th, 6:30-7:30 pm at 'Ourspace', the art studio located below the Tea Bazaar on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville.
These classes run for a period of ten weeks. The class cost is $10 per class or you can choose to pay for the entire 10 sessions for $100, and you'll receive a free Tahitian drum stick.
This class is open to people of all skill levels. Please contact Aniseh to save a spot for you, or for any questions.
McGuffey Art Space Classes Classes
are in Studio 11 of McGuffey Art Space - 201 2nd Street NW in
Charlottesville . (If Center door is locked, go to back of
building, and please ring the "doorbell" (bells on a string) under the
window of Studio 11. Someone will open the door for you!
Tahitian Techniques Class
- This class focuses on Tahitian movement. You will develop a
strong foundation of body movement used for dancing, as well as have a
good workout! This class runs from 6 to 7 pm on Thursday evenings
at the McGuffey Center in Studio 11.
Dance Celebration Class
- This class is pure celebration of the South Pacific culture.
You will learn an original Tahitian song and dance choreography.
After this class, you will be singing and dancing your way home. This
class runs from 7 to 8pm on Thursday evenings at the McGuffey Center in
Studio 11.
The McGuffey classes each cost $10 to attend. Join us for both and receive a discount - both classes for $15!
